20 min Thanksgiving Eve KB strength + HIIT workout

Happy Thanksgiving Eve 🙂

Back in the day, all the old friends would be in town, and everyone would hit the bars and party it up!

Now, things are quite different … but in a great way … we’re having around 15 people (1/2 adults, 1/2 kids 7 and under!) over for a big meal tomorrow, so we’re in full prep mode.

Main point being, this is a time of great celebration, and giving thanks with family and friends.

But according to ABC News, the average American consumes 4500 calories during their Thanksgiving dinner.

So, I wanted to hook you up with a quick-hitting, fat-burning kettlebell workout. As according to a recent study, kettlebells burn an average of 20.1 caloires per minute … so this session should give you a nice jumpstart on your Holiday.

20 min Thanksgiving Eve KB strength + HIIT workout

(A) Warm-up for 5 minutes getting progressively more intense with time

(B) Perform as many rounds as possible in 20 minutes. Rest as needed.

1 – Chin-up Hold – 30 second hold OR Recline Rows – 14

2 – KB Split Squat With Press -8/ea

3 – 1-arm KB Bent Row W/rotation – 8/ea

4- Full Stop KB Swing – 8

5 – KB Plank Drag Through – 8/ea

(C) Minute to Finish – Complete as many reps as possible with good form. Rest as needed.

-Inchworm to Mountain Climbers

(D) Optional bonus: Finish with 15 minutes of moderate paced steady state cardio. You should be moving briskly, but be able to carry on a conversation. This can be a jog, stationary bike, etc.
