Our Mindful Eating Workshop was a great success!
I may hold an “encore” event at some point in the next couple of months – this one would likely be at our Sacramento gym (and also available to attend via zoom)… reply to this message if you’d be interested, if we have enough folks, we’ll put it together.
For now, here are three tips to help you eat more mindfully:
- Slow down: Eating too quickly can lead to overeating and digestive issues. Instead, take your time with each bite. Chew slowly, savor the flavors, and put your utensils down between bites. This can help you tune into your body’s hunger and fullness signals.
- Pay attention to your body: When you’re eating, focus on how your body feels. Are you really hungry, or just eating out of habit or boredom? Do you feel satisfied or still hungry? This can help you make better food choices and avoid overeating.
- Plan ahead: Preparing healthy meals and snacks ahead of time can help you make better food choices and avoid unhealthy options. Try to include a balance of protein, healthy fats, and complex carbs in your meals to fuel your workouts and keep you feeling full and energized.
Remember, mindful eating isn’t about being perfect or restrictive. It’s about listening to your body and making choices that help you feel your best. Give it a try and see how it can improve your workouts and overall health!
